Rich Lister Terry Snow steps away from the cockpit

Terry Snow, the driving force behind the success of the privatised Canberra Airport and of the powerful Capital Property Group, is stepping down from his active management roles.

Mr Snow, 79, the leading property identity in Canberra, is ranked 30th on this year’s Financial Review Rich List, with a wealth of $4.1 billion.

His son Tom Snow, a philanthropist and long-term airport director, will be the new chair of the airport board, alongside current non-executive directors Amanda Lampe and Brad Geatches.

Stepson Stephen Byron will continue as chief executive of the airport and the group.

“While we still have a long way to go before reaching our full potential, we have set the template for the next 30 or 40 years under Stephen’s leadership,” Terry Snow said.
